As part of the series Music x Museums presented by Viking, the Science Museum hosts a special concert, inspired by our Stephen Hawking at Work exhibition.
Just as Hawking examined the very nature of time itself, this concert looks at different ways in which composers have explored time as the essential medium through which their works are experienced:
George Benjamin—' Canon & Fugue' (from Bach The Art of Fugue)
Harrison Birtwistle—' Tragoedia'
William Marsey—New commission
Terry Riley—'In C'
This concert is supported by Wert and Async.
Seated tickets are available for the Making the Modern World gallery on level 0, withstanding tickets in Medicine: The Welcome Galleries on level 1, overlooking the performance.
