If you love old movies or want to experience some of the original silent movie classics as intended accompanied by a genuine Wurlitzer organ, this is the experience for you. This is a unique and delightfully retro movie experience for all movie lovers who want to step back in time and enjoy silent movies the way our grandparents and great-grandparents did.

With a balcony containing comfortable movie seats overlooking the Wurlitzer organ played by the Silent Film artist in waiting Donald Mackenzie, you can experience these movies as originally intended.

Tickets are £15 and screenings occur monthly on a Sunday afternoon and they have a great forward line up.


It’s hard to convey how delightfully refreshing it is to experience the OG of movies this way. Forget CGI and big explosions, think of great plot lines, visual props and succinct dialogue to progress the storyline. It’s a concert and movie all in one, and it’s hard not to marvel at how well Donald Mackenzie marries up the music to reflect what is happening on screen.



If you do decide to make the trip, why don’t you come early and take a guided tour around the musical museum beforehand? It’s an absolute gem of a museum, where they will demonstrate some truly ingenious self-playing instruments used through time. I am pretty confident you will not have experienced anything quite like it.

Tours happen at set times and it’s best to check at the front desk if it is on or not on a particular day.
