If you are in or within a short drive of London over the August bank holiday weekend, Hampton Court Palace will host its Food Festival in the palace gardens from 23 to 25 August 2025. Expect stalls, cooking demonstrations, live music and plenty of tasting opportunities, plus the occasional chef explaining how to make foam from a potato.

It is family friendly so children, grandparents and anyone who considers ice cream a food group will find something to nibble. Pack sensible shoes, a flexible palate and a willingness to queue briefly for something delicious or intriguingly unpronounceable whilst enjoying the palace lawns.
