Family Friendly Fitness Clubs In London

It's sometimes hard as a mum to find the time and childcare to enable you to go enjoy a workout.

These health and fitness clubs in and around London all offer themselves as family friendly and have some great crèches and kids programs available, making it that bit easier to go and exercise.

1. David Lloyd Leisure Clubs
Location: Multiple London Locations

David Lloyd Clubs are premier fitness, health and racquet providers, with fantastic facilities and resources available for members. They cater for families and children, offering a range of activities for the whole family to be involved in such as swimming together, playing tennis and family friendly cafes offering healthy menus and kids play frame to keep the little ones busy. Sign your kids up for swimming, tennis or gymnastics lessons or take a look at the DL kids classes which are timed to match adult group fitness classes. For younger children, each club has a crèche with fully qualified staff members to look after your little ones whilst you work out.

2. Central YMCA
Location: 112 Great Russell Street, London

London's largest gym, Central YMCA, offers a huge range of fitness equipment, group fitness classes, personal training, swimming, courses and more. During the school holidays and every day after school, kids are catered for in the YActive club, offering a variety of fun and action-packed activities and programs. Under 4s are welcome in the crèche whilst you work out or enjoy a peaceful coffee in the cafe and be sure to take a look at the fantastic range of Under 4s activities available.


3. Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre
Location: Adelaide Road, London

For a family-friendly leisure centre, with great facilities and a wide range of activities, check out Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre. Offering a large fitness centre with a huge selection of equipment, heated swimming pools and a group exercise studio, you're fitness needs will be well covered. There's also a sports hall, indoor climbing wall and squash courts, plus children are well looked after in the crèche or can play in the rascals adventure zone. Kick back and relax in the cafe or enjoy a spa treatment in one of the health and beauty rooms.

4. Virgin Active
Location: Multiple London Locations

With high class facilities and multiple locations across London and the UK, Virgin Active clubs offer a fantastic health and fitness experience as well as catering for families. Sign the kids up to a junior membership where there's plenty on offer, such as a fully registered childcare crèche, tennis programs, arts and crafts, dance classes swimming lessons and other sports activities.

6. Nuffield Health
Location: Multiple London Locations

Offering modern and fully equipped fitness centres in convenient locations across London, you'll find all you need to support your health and fitness goals at Nuffield Health. Little ones are kept safe and entertained at the N Stars Children's crèche and children and teens can take part in timetabled activities. A truly beautiful and family friendly club located in the leafy suburb of Teddington and sitting right next to the River Thames, is The Lensbury, offering high-class leisure facilities, restaurants and bars, a spa and a four-star hotel. Children will love spending time playing in either the outdoor playground or the indoor soft play area. Grab a bite to eat and sit outside in the huge al fresco dining area, with children being well catered for with a delightful children's menu. Enjoy a family dip in the pool or sign the kids up to one of the many children's activities.
