London Mums seeks to find the best child and family friendly spots in the capital, by bringing you a short review of the places we find. This week, we look at , one of London's Royal Parks.
Take a family stroll through beautiful
For a capital city, London is fortunate to have many beautiful green spaces and parks, a perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, breathe in some fresh air and be within nature.
has to be one of London's most stunning parks, from its grand trees, serene ponds, the beautiful
Diana water fountain and regal free roaming deer. It's also one of the largest; being second largest out of the eight Royal Parks. Located in South West London and close to Hampton Court Palace, the park is a wonderful place to spend time with family.
Pack a picnic and head to a shady spot under one of the trees and let the kids play on the grass. Take a stroll along one of the many paths and see what adventures you can find or ride your bike around the park- a perfect way to see plenty. Bring along the family dog for a walk too as dogs are allowed to run off leash. Just be mindful of the deer who are free roaming, particularly during the breeding seasons and remember to keep dogs under control near the deer.

The huge playground will keep kids busy and entertained!
Children will absolutely love the huge playground, found near the Hampton Court gate. The playground is fully fenced and there are toilets very close by. There's plenty to do in the playground, from swings, slides, climbing frames and a large sandpit, kids of all ages will be kept busy.
For a beautiful and peaceful spot to meet friends or have a picnic, head to the
Woodland Gardens . There's parking available (though it does get busy during summer months) and
The Pheasantry Cafe selling delicious food, drinks and ice creams. Head to the stream where you may see some ducks or go for a stroll along the winding paths and over the little bridges.
Find the resident ducks, geese and swans at one of the many ponds
is the perfect place to spend time with the family at any time of the year. Enjoy the sunshine in Summer, crunch on the fallen leaves in Autumn, rug up warm and enjoy the stunning Winter scenery in Winter and enjoy the warmer air and nature coming to life in Spring.
