Ever wondered if fairy tale characters are still living that happily ever after, or if they have day jobs and bad habits now. Take the Big Bad Wolf, is he really all that bad, or just misunderstood. And Rapunzel, what happens once she finally lets her hair down and gets a decent haircut.

This family event draws from the book The Fairy Tale Fan Club by BAFTA-winning comedian Richard Ayoade and illustrator David Roberts, with Laura Dockrill hosting. Expect live letter readings and illustrations for a bit of whimsical insight into these characters real lives. Suitable for ages eight and up. It accompanies the British Librarys Fairy Tales exhibition, but you will need separate tickets with advance booking advised. Taking place in the Pigott Theatre at the British Library, 96 Euston Road, London NW1 2DB, on 26 May 2026. Doors open at 14:00, running from 14:30 to 15:30. Tickets cost 12 pounds, concessions available.
