Here are some fantastic ideas and events happening around the capital this year for Mother's Day. Because let's be honest, we all need to feel special at least on one day of the year!
1. High Tea
High Tea, or Afternoon Tea, is a wonderful way to spoil and thank Mum. There are some beautiful places in London offering a delicious spread, such as traditional Afternoon Tea at
Claridges or something different and a little like the Pret-a-Portea served at
The Berkeley .
2. Mother's Day Lunch or Dinner
You are likely to find many restaurants around London that are offering special Mother's Day lunches or dinners. Remember these are likely to book up fast, so contact your favourite restaurant to make your reservation.
Enjoy a special Mother's Day three course meal in the heart of Mayfair at
Anthenaeum Hotel or splash out and enjoy an elegant three course meal at
The Ritz .

3. Sunday Roast
There is nothing better or more comforting than a good British Sunday roast, which all mums would appreciate, especially when they don't have to cook or wash up! Check out your local pub for their Sunday roast deals or a Central London eatery for a special Mother's Day roast, such as
Hawksmoor Seven Dials in Covent Garden.
4. London Musical
For mum to sit back and immerse herself in high quality entertainment, why not book her tickets to see one of London's top west end musicals. Our top picks for Mother's Day Celebrations would have to be Dolly Parton 9 to 5, playing at The Savoy Theatre, Mamma Mia, playing at Novello Theatre or Wicked, playing at Apollo Victoria Theatre.
5. London Shopping trip
Why not spend some quality time with mum and take her on a shopping spree in one of the city's top shopping destinations. Check out the range of stores in classy Covent Garden or wander along the huge stores of Oxford Street.
6. Day spa
There are many beautiful spas around London. What better way to say thank you to mum than to book her a decadent spa treatment or spa day at one of
these top London day spa locations.
7. River Thames Boat trip
For a special Mother's Day treat mum will love and remember, book a river Thames boat trip. There are many different ones to chose from, some offering a short trip and others making a day of it and offering food and entertainment.
Bateaux London Cruises offer an elegant cruise experience and are offering a special Mother's Day cruise to book in to. Treat mum to a three course Sunday lunch whilst listening to live jazz entertainment, gliding along the Thames.
