Summer's arrival means it is time for a rather large science shindig at The Royal Institution. Apparently, it is going to be a "BIG science Saturday", which sounds considerably more exciting than your average weekend. They have managed to round up an impressive gathering of science communicators, various volunteers, and brainboxes from all over the UK to share whatever clever things they know.

You can expect to mooch about the building, getting hands on with activities and demonstrations, before settling down for some proper science shows in the theatre. This whole affair is largely aimed at children aged 6 to 12, though older and younger siblings are entirely welcome to come along and see what the fuss is about. Just a heads up, anyone 12 or under will need a responsible adult to keep an eye on them, and if you are aged four or above, you will require a ticket to join in the fun. It is all happening in London on July 19, 2025.
