Hi All,

I’m an assistant producer at Atomized Studios, working with the Wellcome Trust on a short film to raise awareness of the increase of heat stress in working environments, to motivate change makers to consider the impacts of this and implement strategies to help people with this across the globe.

For the film, we are looking to feature the stories of people from different professions and backgrounds worldwide, whose work has been increasingly affected by climate change and warm weather - especially as the temperatures rise during heat waves - in order to show how even just a few extra degrees of heat can make a huge difference.

We would be asking about how this has changed their working lives - perhaps having to stop work on the hottest day of the year - changing their hours, or even just taking more breaks, wearing different clothing, or changing the work being done on certain days.

Specifically, we are looking to speak to a pregnant worker who had to go into work during heat waves - perhaps someone who works in retail or hospitality and struggled with the heat. We know that pregnancy makes you particularly susceptible to heat-related issues and think it would be important to tell this story in the film, if possible. You can be based anywhere in the UK, although London would be preferable, where the temperatures were some of the highest. Our film crew would come to you, where we would look to film a short interview and some footage of you while at work.

The film will be shared online and at the UN Climate Change Conference - COP 30, and the interview would need to take place in the next week.
