Let your child experience what life is like on the farm

If you think your city kids can use a dose of farm life, and you want to take advantage of the glorious weather, why not try a visit to [Link https://www.bockettsfarm.co.uk/ Bocketts Farm] in Letherhead? It is a day out that the whole family can enjoy.

This full working family farm, will delight your children. Set in the Surrey countryside, Bocketts Farm is not just picturesque, it is FUN. There are play areas both inside and outside and animals galore.

So what does a day out at Bocketts Farm involve?

Animals
With hundreds of animals to meet and greet, children can pat, feed and learn about all different types of farm animals from pigs to chickens to llamas. There is a big barn chock (or should I say chick) full of animals just waiting to meet you.

If your little human is more into the small animals, Little Hoppington could be for them. They can have a chance to hold small, friendly, furry friends including guinea pigs, rabbits, chipmunks, chinchillas and mice.

At Bocketts Farm you can also do pony rides around a woodland track for children over three years for £2. Afterwards they can visit the stable to visit more donkeys and ponies.

Don’t miss the twice daily Pig Race. Watch the piggies compete head to head in a race that will have you squeeling with delight right alongside them.

Activities

Bocketts Farm has many activities that the whole family can enjoy. You can partake in a farm walk and romp through the paddocks and meadows alongside some lovely animals. It is a great chance to stretch your legs. Then if your legs get tired, take a tractor and trailer ride for £1.50 for 15 minutes. You will learn all about life on the farm, and may be lucky enough to glimpse a view of London.

Play time

If your kids get sick of the animals (which they won't) luckily Bocketts Farm has a multitude of play areas to choose from. There is a huge indoor soft play barn, undercover trampolines, Young Driver Zone and acres of outdoor adventures to explore.

The indoor play barn has slides for the older kids, as well as a baby play area. Then outside there are swings, a maze, slides, adventure trails, sandpits, play houses and more. There is also an under 5's zone where kids can pedal around a young drivers zone and take on the tunnels and ramps. If your speed racer loves to drive they can move onto a Go-Kart track.

The best play area? The giant pillow! If you haven't yet had a chance to jump on one of these, they are so. Much. Fun. There is even a toddler pillow so they don't get squished amongst the bigger kids.

During the warmer months, there is the chance to splash around in a water play area where kids can throw water filled balloons at their opponents. It's a great opportunity to cool down.

Last but not least is the tree house to climb and have some great imagination play. There are areas for toddlers and older kids.

Food and Drink

When you are hungry, you can visit the Old Barn Tearooms. They serve up homemade cakes and cream teas, lunch specials, all day breakfasts, sandwiches and ploughman’s as well as a varied children’s menu. A range of chilled drinks, coffees and teas are available, whilst beer and wine can be served with meals. Baby food, highchairs and a microwave is available.

There is also a coffee shop located next to the indoor play area that serves up hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks, homemade soup, children’s picnic boxes, ice creams and our lovely homemade cakes. A microwave and highchairs are also available.

If you think that your kids need to learn more about how their food is grown, take them to the Kitchen Gardens. You can purchase home grown herbs, fruits and vegetables throughout the year. Visitors are able to explore the garden and children can learn a thing or two about where lettuce comes from.
