Oh and of course, delicious food and drink! Perfect for children aged 0-5, and their parents, they are also available for private hire on the weekends for your little ones special day.

Located in Herne Hill, Apple Tree is a home away from home and fully dedicated to providing parents with a safe, uncluttered and beautiful space that they can bring along their little ones and have a relaxing and fun time.



It is completely for the comfort of families so you don’t have to worry about annoying the other patrons and it is also an educating experience for your children. The toys are cleaned and sanitised regularly and are changed up routinely.

The menu has also been prepared to cater to children of all ages. They use local and fresh ingredients and ethically traded coffee for the adults. They offer baby led weaning options as well so it is a welcome break from packing a lunch box. The food is traditional cafe style with baked goods and ‘tapas’ style food for the kids. They also provide high chairs, bumbos and bouncers so it makes eating for you a little bit easier as well.

Apple Tree is opposite Brockwell Park so is also the perfect place to either stay and play or pick up a takeaway coffee or food and sit on a blanket in the sunshine in the park. When it doesn’t rain of course!

The play areas are awesome. There is a ball pit, tunnel, climbing frames and other climbing equipment. There is a dedicated role play area that is constantly changed to make it fun and interesting. These include role play options like a fire station and a flower shop. There is also a range of sensory activities for all ages like a sensory table with educational based challenges and baskets full of textures. Sensory activities are perfect to enhance fine motor and language skills.

Apple Tree is really affordable. The play prices are:

0-6 months: Free
6-12 months: 3
1-5 years: 5
Twins/Triplets get a 40% discount for 2nd or 3rd child

You can also buy a ten visit play pass to save even more money.



Just take note that Apple Tree is really popular and can get quite busy at peak periods. Like a lot of play cafes it can get loud but as Mums we have to be tolerant of that.
