We all want a safe home for our children without spending endless money and time creating it. We want to give them everything they need, without keeping it forever or creating more waste. We want to help other parents and donate items our little ones have outgrown to charity, but sometimes we don't have the time or we're planning to have more children.
Y'earn's mission is to make this a reality so you can get right to creating memories — while also being kind to Mother Nature along the way.
How’s this possible? One word: community.
Y’earn is a parent-to-parent marketplace where you can rent Baby & Kids items from people and small businesses in your local community, or make some cash if you have items you don't need right now. It was created to help people navigate life’s biggest moments while creating lasting memories and impact through convenient, sustainable, and affordable rentals.
The Y'earn community consists of three parts that make it whole:
Yearners: People that want items. Yearners can focus on creating important memories with their children without spending endless hours researching and shopping for everything they need. Whether you rent short-term or long-term, you can save cash and help Mother Nature by upcycling and re-using essential items.
Earners: People that make money from items. Whether you need the money, space or want to help others less fortunate, As an earners, you can rent items for as long as you like. You can then decide to sell, donate to charity, or have them returned before your next child needs them.
Coordinators: Like the fairy godmother version of an Uber driver. Coordinators pick up, disinfect and drop off furniture and essential items between each parent. Earning a side-hustle around the school run while helping families.
No matter if you’re a Y'earner or an Earner (or both!), you’ll be giving your items a second life and helping out someone in your community (and Mother Nature) along the way.
Make room for what you love: Make space for what your child needs right now, even if you want back. Y'earn makes renting convenient, hygienic and provides a guarantee, so everyone has peace of mind.
Keep earning: Loan your items and earn an ongoing income instead of selling them. Y'earn pick up ‘Bundles’ so you don’t have to list and manage each item.
Support your community: It’s expensive and time consuming to buy everything a child needs. Help parents who are time or cash strapped and even pay it forward by donating to local charities.
Help out Mother Nature: Give your items a second life, meaning less waste and we’ll plant a tree. Refer us and we’ll adopt a bee.

How can Y'earn help you, your community and the planet?
At its most simple, Y’earn helps you save or make money, whilst helping your community and the planet. Renting is obviously sustainable, but for every new customer they plant a tree, for every referral they adopt bees and pay for hives. Y'earn donates time, money and goods to charities and makes it easy for the community to do the same. They have partnered with charities such as Baby Basics, The Child Rescue Coalition, and Great Ormond Street Hospital and support them in a variety of ways including matching donations from Earners when they make money through the marketplace.
